CITAD Organizes Training on ICT and Digital Entrepreneurship for Kano Youths
The Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD), has organize a training workshop for some selected Youth in the areas of ICT and Digital Entrepreneurship tagged “Youth Sustainable Enterprise Challenge Project”.
The aim of the project was to offer training to young individuals in order to be self dependents and also to provide employment to others.
According to Zainab Aminu, one of the facilitators of the program, the project was organized to give basic orientation on different types of skills to the youth like basic ICT skills, autography and many more.
“Here we’re having an orientation for beneficiaries of one of our youth projects which is called Sustainable Youth Enterprise Challenge, is a project that is going to train them on different types of skills like, basic ICT skills, Autography, Videography, Digitalgrapies and all sorts. and then there are soft skills that will teach them about Communication, Problem solving, Finance management and all that” she said.
In his remarks, the representative of Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, an SSA to the Governor on ICT and Innovation Dr Yusuf Ibrahim Sharada urged the youth to make use of the skills and the knowledge they acquire in the best way possible being in a situation where Government can no longer provide jobs to everyone.
DAILYFEEDS reports that, the training workshop supported by British Council and Prince Charles Foundation, had in attendance the Government functionaries and many youth.
