Dan’agundi Commends Gov. Yusuf’s Inclusive Leadership After Joining APC, Urges Unity Ahead of Elections

The Director General of the National Productivity Center, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, has commended Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for what he described as fairness and inclusive leadership following his entry into the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking to journalists in his office on Friday, Dr. Dan’agundi expressed gratitude over what he termed a positive political development for the APC in Kano State. He said the governor’s decision to join the party had strengthened unity and boosted confidence among members.

According to him, Governor Yusuf demonstrated statesmanship by embracing both longstanding and new party members without discrimination.
“Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf welcomed us with open arms and without any form of bias. He has shown that he is committed to unity within the APC,” Dan’agundi said.

He further disclosed that in instances where the governor was entitled to about 60 percent of APC leadership positions, he willingly allowed original party members to present the majority of candidates to promote fairness and collective progress.

Dan’agundi called on party members to consolidate on the existing unity, urging original APC members to remain loyal to former Kano governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, by supporting Governor Yusuf as the recognized APC leader in the state.

He stressed that party discipline requires a clear chain of command and adherence to leadership directives to ensure cohesion ahead of future elections.
Speaking on behalf of Tinubu Support Groups in Kano State, Dan’agundi pledged commitment to grassroots mobilization to secure victory for Governor Yusuf and other APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.

He also commended party leaders at the local level, particularly in Kano Municipal Local Government, for fostering unity. He praised the council chairman, Hon. Salim Hashim; the member representing Kano Municipal in the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Nabil Sarki Aliyu; and Alhaji Nura Hussaini, among others, for working collectively to strengthen party cohesion.

Dan’agundi urged other local government areas in the state to emulate the Kano Municipal example to enhance stability within the party and improve its electoral prospects across Kano State.
