KACCIMA Elects New Leadership
After years of Internal crises, Kano Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA) inaugurate new leaders that will steer its affairs.
The crises which caused at one time closure of it’s secretariat by the Kano State past administration led to the intervention of a Philanthropist late Alh Aminu Alhassan Dantata who brought an end to the years of ups and downs by inaugrating an interim leadership under Alh Garba Imam.
In an interview with DAILYFEEDS Nig, the outgoing Vice President (Corporate) of the chamber Barr Abba Hikima Fagge said that it was a great achievement as they were able to settled grievances bedeviling the chamber over the years and conducted free and fair election.
He said, “The just sworn in President Alh Usman Darma is a well known personalty whom we hope will continue from where we stopped and bring about new ideas”.
In his handing over notes, the outgoing President Alh Garba Imam noted that they council under his leadership was able to organised 19 council meetings. “Our leadership succeeded in holding about 19 council meetings, we also before handing over to new Council leaders started preparing for the upcoming trade fair which will hold between 22nd November and 6th December 2025 and hope that the new leadership will carry on with the preparation from where we stop “.
He added that, ” Some of the achievements we have include, retrieving KACCIMA land in Kaduna state after it was stolen, securing another land at Abuja and bringing new ideas which include inviting one service provider which provided us with internet services where we share free WIFI network during last trade fair”.
Speaking with DAILYFEEDS shortly after his swearing in, the new elected President Alh Usman Darma promised to reform different sector of the Chamber and bring positive change especially in the areas of Industry and Agriculture.
“in the Kano Industries, we are working with State and Federal Governments to see how we can improve and we are going to make use of the Gas pipiline which is ongoing project by the Federal government”.
Among those inaugurated today (Thursday) was Dr Samira Abubakar Abdullahi who also double as National Coordinator NACCIMA youth entrepreneurs.
