Women with disabilities in Kano state face alots of challenges during their monthly period, this has been a barrier stage in stopping them from delivering effective service at various endeavors.
Among his gesture to supports People with disabilities in Nigeria,The Founder of A.S.A Enable Us Foundation Prince Ayorinde Stephen Amoko embarks on the mission to provide an avenue for women with disabilities in Kano state with distribution of sanitary pads.
Subsequently, I know the challenges people with disability encounter that is why A.S.A EnableUs Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and mental illness. Through advocacy, rehabilitation services, community-based programs, and empowerment initiatives, Prince Ayorinde said.
Despite the fact that people with disabilities are marginalized in the society doesn’t mean we shouldn’t advocate for better chance.
In addition, my philanthropy will cover all state in Nigeria without any stereotypes or any sentiment attached to religion or culture. This is the second intervention in Kano and I hope to extend it across the 44 local Government area for all clusters.
One of the beneficiary named Fatima Ahmad with physical challenge said, the pads is a blessing to them because of the economic hardship in the country that has made them to stop having proper hygiene due to high prices in the market.
Our primary aim is to promote inclusivity, accessibility, and equal opportunities for individuals with special needs in and around Kano State and In Shall Allah we shall do our best.
