In a commendation ceremony held today, the Kano State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Abubakar Idris Ahmad, CN, praised key personnel for their exceptional contributions in combating drug trafficking and abuse throughout 2023.
The spotlight fell on the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the command, Sadiq Muhammad Maigatari, recognized for his adept management of the agency’s public image and effective communication strategies. Maigatari’s efforts have significantly raised awareness about the dangers of drug abuse, amplifying the agency’s resolute commitment to addressing this societal concern.
Commander Ahmad extended accolades to various area commands and teams/units, applauding their dedication, professionalism, and commitment in executing successful operations. Notable achievements include the arrest of drug traffickers, substantial seizures of illicit drugs, and an expanded outreach for the WADA campaign.
In addition to the PRO and operational teams, the commander highlighted the commendable performance of 17 other officers/men. Their unwavering dedication has played a pivotal role in the agency’s successful operations, leading to the arrest and prosecution of individuals involved in drug trafficking.
