B.I.J Group Holds Its Maiden Conference in Kano


The Barau Jibrin Maliya Initiative for Transformational Leadership and Peace Advocacy (B.I.J), an organization committed to promoting good governance, social transformation, and peacebuilding, has held its maiden conference in Kano State.

The event held at Mambayya House, brought together members of the group from all 44 local government areas of the state, where the organization’s vision was outlined, and bonds of unity among members were strengthened.

Speaking during the gathering, a member of the Board of Trustees, Professor Muktar Namadi Muhammad Gwarzo, said the initiative was established to enlighten citizens on the importance of good governance and the need to entrench peace within society.

Professor Gwarzo highlighted the strategies the organization intends to employ to raise public awareness and work closely with communities in order to achieve its objectives.

Also speaking, Professor Salihu Abdullahi Kiyawa of NorthWest University, Kano, expressed optimism about the organization’s future, especially in its efforts to promote peace and strengthen leadership values.

Some members of the group shared their satisfaction with the conference, expressing hope that the B.I.J initiative will play a significant role in advancing development and sustaining peace across Kano State.

DailyFeeds reports that, at the end of the conference, members agreed that the current interim leaders of the group will continue to steer its affairs until elections are held at a later date.
