City Boy Movement Appoints Dan’agundi as North-West Coordinator
The City Boy Movement has appointed the Director-General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC), Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, as its North-West Zonal Coordinator.
The Movement, which is nationally coordinated by Mr. Seyi Tinubu, said the appointment was in recognition of Dr.
Dan’agundi’s growing political influence, strong grassroots mobilisation capacity, and sustained contributions to the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s political movement across the North-West.
Dr. Dan’agundi was a key figure during the 2023 presidential campaign, particularly in the organisation of the historic “One Million March” rally held in Kano State. The rally, described as the first of its kind in the state, was widely seen as a major boost to grassroots support for President Tinubu and a turning point in strengthening his political base in the region.
Despite his appointment as Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Dan’agundi has continued to maintain close ties with grassroots communities. He has implemented various empowerment programmes and social intervention initiatives across the North-West, aimed at reinforcing public confidence and consolidating support for President Tinubu’s administration and the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking on the appointment, the National Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, Mr. Seyi Tinubu, described Dr. Dan’agundi as a dependable and result-oriented political leader.
He said Dr. Dan’agundi’s dedication, organisational strength, and ability to mobilise and train supporters for President Tinubu across the North-West had been remarkable.
As North-West Coordinator, Dr. Dan’agundi will oversee the activities of the City Boy Movement in Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Jigawa, Sokoto, and Kebbi states.
His mandate includes deepening grassroots engagement, strengthening political education, and consolidating the objectives of the Movement across the zone.
The City Boy Movement is a political support platform established to promote the vision, leadership, and progressive ideals of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with a focus on youth mobilisation, grassroots political participation, civic education, and community-based empowerment initiatives.
The appointment of Dr.
Dan’agundi has been described by supporters as a recognition of his loyalty, consistency, and contributions to the growth of the Movement and the continued success of President Tinubu’s leadership.
