CP Kankarofi Visits Adogo Train- Drailment Site, Assures More Security
The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, has visited the Adogo train‑derailment site on Sunday 9 November 2025.
During the visit, the Commissioner conducted an on‑the‑spot assessment on the cause and damages caused by the accident.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer CSP William Ovye Aya, CP Kankarofi also met with NRC management and stranded passengers and assured them of their security and that of the NRC properties.
He then ordered the deployment of security personnel to safeguard people and facilities, assessed the situation, and oversaw the evacuation of all passengers to Ajaokuta station.
He also deployed additional security to secure the derailed coaches.
He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property, working in synergy with other security agencies in the state.
