The newly appointed Commissioner of information, Alhaji Baba Halilu Dantiye has formally assumed duty today.
Halilu Dantiye was sworn today by Governor Abba Kabir Yusif at Government House.
Addressing the staff of the Ministry, the new Commissioner assured them of his commitment to publicize the policies and programmes of the state government, which is one of the vital role of his Ministry.

Director Special Duties of the ministry, Dantiye, solicited the support and cooperation of the staff of the Ministry and charged them to be more committed in discharging their duties.
He also pledged to work with working journalists by providing an enabling environment for the profession to flourish and urged them to embrace the noble ethics of the profession.
In his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Sani Bashir Yola congratulate the new Commissioner on his appointment and pledged his support and that of entire staff of the Ministry.
He described the appointment of Dantiye as well deserved considering his vast experience in journalism.
The new Commissioner who was accompanied by friends, relatives and well-wishers is a member of National Institute of Policy and strategic Studies Kuru and was the former President Nigeria Guild of Editors, former Director General Media and Communications to former Governors Kwankwaso and Ganduje and he retired as permanent Secretary in the state civil service.
