Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf Attends Hawan Daushe At Kano Emir’s Palace
As the Eid El Kabir celebrations enter into second day, Kano state Governor, Alh Abba Kabir Yusuf was accompanied by his deputy, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo and members of the state executive council to the Hawan Daushe durbar at the emir’s palace Kofar Kudu.
In a statement issued by the Spokesperson to the Governor Hisham Habib, also present as a guest was the vice presidenial Candidate of the NNPP in the 2023 elections Bishop Isaac Idahosa.
The Daushe durbar is a Sallah homage paid by district heads to the Emir with other traditional title holders in the emirate accompanied by multiple horse riders clad in different attires ,and is significant in the history of the city.
Hawan Daushe is considered the most impressive, most colourful and interesting part of the Durbar celebrations and the first to be attended by Gov Yusuf as executive governor of Kano who took office on May 29rh
Thousands of Kano citizens came out to welcome the governor to the emir s palace who waved to the enthusiastic crowd and visitors alike.
