The Chairman of the House Committee on Sports, Honourable Kabiru Amadu, was the Special Guest of Honour at the 50th Anniversary Celebration and 9th Convocation Ceremony of the National Institute for Sports, held at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, on Wednesday, 29th January 2025.
He was accompanied by Honourable Adedayo Olumuyiwa and Honourable Sadiq Tafida, both members of the House Committee on Sports.
Delivering a keynote address, Honourable Amadu congratulated the institute on its milestone and pledged continued legislative support for its growth.
He reaffirmed the Committee’s commitment to upgrading the institute into a National University of Sports and commended President Ahmed Tinubu for increasing budgetary allocations to the institution.
