Kano Govt to Partner with NEPC in Sensitizing Public on It’s Activities.
Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), has called on Kano State Governor Engr Abba Yusuf to help in Promoting awareness among Kano People on the activities of the council and its importance.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Director Special Duties, Kano State Ministry of Information Sani Abba Yola.
The Regional Coordinator of the Council, Amina Abdulmalik, made the plea when she paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Information Baba Halilu Dantiye today (Wednesday) in his office.
During the visit, Ms. Abdulmalik emphasized the importance of collaborating with the Ministry of Information to educate the people of Kano State about the council’s activities.
She highlighted the council’s dedication to promoting products with significant export potential and their associated value chains.
The Coordinator explained that the council introduced the Export for Survival program as part of its efforts to train youth in processing and exporting various products to markets outside Nigeria.
“This initiative is aimed at not only enhancing export capabilities but also at empowering the youth with valuable skills and creating employment opportunities,” she added.
Responding, the Kano State Commissioner of Information, Baba Halilu Dantiye, expressed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting the objectives of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council.
He assured that the Ministry of Information would actively participate in awareness campaigns to enlighten the public about the council’s activities and the benefits of exportation.
Dantiye stressed the importance of partnering with all relevant stakeholders in the state to ensure the success of these initiatives.
The Commissioner reiterated the Ministry’s readiness to utilize its resources and platforms to amplify the NEPC’s message and activities for the betterment of Kano State’s residents.
