Kano State Executive Council Approves Over Nineteen Billion Naira For Projects and Interventions

Kano State Government has approved the release of over 19bn for projects across the state.

The state Commissioner for Information and Internal affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya made this known when briefing newsmen on the outcome of the 33rd State Executive Council led by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

According to the Commissioner, Education got the highest amount of Four billion nine hundred and thirty two million Naira for renovation of schools, settlement of outstanding liabilities for the Arabic and Islamic studies exams (NBAIS) and school feeding for the boarding students among others.

The sum of  three billion, three hundred and thirty eight million two hundred and ninety thousand Naira was  approved by the council  for projects under the state ministry of water resources, which include payment of over 600m energy liability to Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO).

The council also approved over N274m for renovation and upgrade of some health facilities in the state.

Comrade Waiya reiterate government commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of every kano citizen by providing meaningful projects that would uplift kano state.
