KNUPDA Constitutes 3 Committees to Recover Kano’s Lost Assets
The Managing Director of Kano State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA), Arch Ibrahim Yakubu Adamu, on Thursday, inaugurated 3 committees that will be responsible for recovering the state’s lost assets, corner-shops and public conveniences.
Architect Adamu tasked members of the committees to harmonize Event Centres, Sport Arena and Restaurants in the Government Reserved Areas.
Recall that Governor Abba Kabir has, during his inaugural speech, vowed to recover lands that were allegedly misappropriated by the immediate past government of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
While emphasizing on the need to focus on the planning and development of Kano State, Arch Ibrahim also urged them to make sure that all land owners in the state secure approvals of the agency before embarking on constructions.
He charged the newly inaugurated committees to implement policies that will assist in boosting the state’s revenue generation.
Speaking, the Director Architecture, Alhaji Salisu Bello Dambatta, pledged with the members of the committees to work hard to achieve the set target of the agency.
