TUITION FEES: NANS Threaten to Shutdown Academic Activities in Bayero University Kano

The National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) kano state chapter, threaten to shutdown Academic activities in Bayero University Kano over the recent hike in tuition fees.

This was contained in an ultimatum letter issued and signed by the Chairman Joint Campus Council Comrade Ismail Ahmad Maishinkafa.

The statement said “As student leaders in Kano state, we are committed towards the fight for the right, interest and welfare of students”.

“We will declare BUK Closed next week till we achieve a desired outcome” the statement added.

The Students Union have given the University one week ultimatum to reverse it’s decision or face consequences.

Federal Universities in Nigeria have recently increased tuition fees which many Nigerians see as anti poor policy.
