The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Auwaliyya Oil and Gas Ltd, Auwal Abubakar, has paid a courtesy visit to the MD/CEO of the Nigerian Customs Broadcasting Network (NCBN), Malam Jamilu Yusuf, to explore potential strategic partnerships and collaborations between the two organisations.
The meeting, held at NCBN’s headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday January, 2025, focused on fostering synergy between the oil and gas sector and the broadcasting industry, with discussions likely covering energy supply agreements, broadcasting services, and joint projects that could enhance the operations of both companies.
Speaking on the purpose of the visit, Abubakar highlighted the need for cross-industry collaborations to drive national development.
“The oil and gas sector plays a fundamental role in powering industries, and the media serves as a vital tool for information dissemination. By working together, we can ensure energy efficiency in broadcasting operations and utilise media platforms to educate the public on energy sustainability, policies, and investment opportunities in the sector.”
He also stated that, “We see this partnership as a step towards innovation and economic progress.”
In response, Managing Director of the Jamilu Yusuf welcomed the initiative and expressed optimism about the potential impact of the collaboration.
“At NCBN, we are always open to partnerships that align with our vision of using media as a catalyst for growth. Auwaliyya Oil and Gas Ltd is a key player in the energy sector, and we believe that by strengthening ties, we can create media content that informs and enlightens the public on energy matters.” He added.
According to him, “a reliable energy supply is essential for our broadcasting operations, and discussions on potential energy solutions will be beneficial for both parties.”
