NDLEA Partners AMMASCO Int’l Ltd to Curb Drug Abuse in Kano

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kano State Command is to partner AMMASCO International Limited, a leading lubricant company in Nigeria in the area of Enlightenment on the ills and trafficking of drug abuse as well as reintegration of drug-dependent persons in the State.

According to a statement signed by the Ag. Public Relations Officer of the Command, Sadiq ASN II Muhammad Maigatari, the Chairman of AMMASCO International, Mustapha Ado, made this known on Saturday when he received a delegation of some top officials of the Agency at his office.

Alhaji Mustapha said his company will join forces with NDLEA as part of their corporate social responsibility to curb the menace of drug abuse in the society, which according to him ‘impacts negatively on the economy.’

The Chairman also promised to offer employment opportunities for youths rehabilitated by NDLEA so that they can become better citizens.

He said “by empowering drug-dependent individuals with the tools necessary for gainful employment and personal growth, the partnership aims to reduce relapse rates and promote long-term recovery.”

He told officials of the NDLEA that as soon as AMMASCO Radio and Television starts operations, the NDLEA will have free airtime to reach the listening public by way of jingles and discussion programs.

AMMASCO also requested a jingle on drug abuse to be broadcast on the company’s Video Display Vehicle that goes around the state.

During the visit, The Director Of Asset and Financial Investigation, Dr. Ibrahim Abdul, DCGN delivered the CCE’s goodwill message to the Chairman of AMMASCO International.

Ibrahim Abdul, acknowledged the Chairman’s contributions to Kano and the nation at large, particularly his selfless service to humanity.

All parties promised to join forces in the fight against the use and trafficking of illicit drugs as well as rehabilitation of victims in Kano State and Nigeria at large.

This is a testament to the tireless efforts of Commander Abubakar Idris Ahmad, CN in combating drug abuse in the State.

AMMASCO International is one of the biggest and fastest-growing independent Lubricant blending plants in Nigeria, with an Ultramodern Lubricant Plant in Kano that has an installed blending capacity of 79,000 MT/annum for the blending of all Lubricants.

Present during the visit were Dr. Muhammad Malami, ACGN, Director of Internal Affairs/Provost Marshall, and the State Commander Abubakar Idris Ahmad, CN, Kano State Command.
