The Nigeria Customs Broadcasting Network (NCBN) has announced that security agencies across the country will converge on the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja, on Saturday, 29 November 2025, for the maiden Officers Night Out, an inter-agency social event designed to strengthen trust and cooperation among Nigeria’s uniformed services.
The programme is expected to draw officers from the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Army, Nigeria Navy, EFCC, NSCDC, DSS, FRSC, ICPC and other security formations, alongside participants from the public and private sectors. Organisers say the event aims to provide a relaxed platform for officers to interact outside operational duties while competing in friendly activities.
As part of its support for the event, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company (IVM) has donated a brand-new car as the grand prize for the competition’s overall champion, a development that significantly boosts the event’s profile.
Receiving the vehicle on behalf of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, the Deputy Comptroller-General in charge of Headquarters, DCG Isah Umar, commended NCBN and its partners for initiating the programme, which he said would “deepen understanding and cooperation among sister security agencies.”
According to him, “Inter-agency synergy begins with relationships built beyond uniform and duty posts. Bringing officers together in an informal setting strengthens the bond we need for effective national security. Customs Service supports initiatives that promote teamwork and morale.”
DCG Umar also applauded Innoson’s gesture, describing it as a reaffirmation of the company’s growing commitment to national development and its recognition of the sacrifices made by security personnel.
Speaking during the handover, the Managing Director of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, (insert full name), said the company was pleased to support a programme that celebrates service and excellence among officers.
He noted that morale-boosting initiatives are vital for sustaining professionalism and dedication within the security sector.
He added, “Our support for this event is our way of honouring the officers who work daily to protect Nigerians. We believe strongly in inter-agency harmony, and we hope this prize motivates participants while encouraging unity across the services.”
Organisers say the event will feature entertainment performances, light competitions and networking sessions, with expectations that Officers Night Out will become an annual gathering for Nigeria’s security community.
