Ramadan: Garo Urges Prayers for Kano, Nigeria’s Economic Prosperity
A former APC Deputy Gubernatorial candidate and former Commissioner for Local government, Murtala Sule Garo, has extended warm greetings to the people of Kano State and the Muslim Ummah across Nigeria as they usher in the holy month of Ramadan.
In a goodwill message to mark the commencement of the sacred month, Garo described Ramadan as a period of fasting, reflection, sacrifice, and total devotion to Almighty Allah.
He noted that the holy month offers Muslims the opportunity to imbibe the virtues of patience, discipline, compassion, and generosity, particularly toward the less privileged in society.
He called on Muslim faithful to seize the spiritual significance of Ramadan to pray fervently for peace, unity, progress, and economic prosperity in Kano State and Nigeria as a whole.
Garo also urged Muslims to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, promote tolerance, and uphold the values of honesty, humility, and service to humanity as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
He prayed that Allah accepts the fasts, prayers, and good deeds of the faithful, grants them good health throughout the month, and rewards them abundantly.
He concluded his message by wishing Muslims a blessed Ramadan and Jumu’at Mubarak.
