Reps, Senate Committees Meet Air Chief to Review 2026 NAF Budget Proposal
The House of Representatives Committee on the Nigerian Air Force has held a high-level meeting with the Chief of Air Staff and other top officials of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to review the service’s proposed 2026 budget.
The session, which took place on Tuesday at the National Assembly, was jointly presided over by the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Air Force, Senator Osita, and the Chairman of the House Committee on the Nigerian Air Force, Rt. Hon. Kabiru Alhassan Rurum.

The statement added that, the meeting formed part of the National Assembly’s constitutional oversight responsibilities aimed at ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the allocation and utilisation of defence resources.
Lawmakers at the session scrutinised key components of the proposed budget to ensure that planned expenditures align with Nigeria’s national security priorities and strategic development objectives.
The engagement underscores the commitment of the legislative arm of government to strengthening the operational capacity of the Nigerian Air Force while promoting prudent management of public funds.
