This Year’s Kano International Trade Fair Would Be The Best In History—KACCIMA President
The President of the Kano State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA), Ambassador Hassan Darma, has assured that the forthcoming 46th Kano International Trade Fair will be the best and most impactful edition in history.
Speaking during a press conference in Kano, the KACCIMA President reaffirmed the Chamber’s determination and commitment to hosting a world-class event that meets international standards and further strengthens Kano’s position as a leading commercial hub in Nigeria and West Africa.
According to him, the current leadership has worked tirelessly to introduce new innovations and improved logistics aimed at enhancing participants’ experience throughout the fair. He disclosed that all 44 local government areas of Kano State, along with neighboring states and international participants from countries such as China, Turkey, Pakistan, and Ghana, will be in attendance. The fair will also showcase the technological talents of Nigerian youths with special skills in innovation and creativity.
Ambassador Darma revealed that the Honourable Minister of Trade and Investment will grace the occasion, while the Vice President, His Excellency Kashim Shettima, is expected to officially declare the fair open. The Kano State Governor, His Excellency Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, will serve as the Chief Host.
Also speaking, the Vice President and Acting Chairman of this year’s Trade Fair Committee, Alhaji Kabir Muhammad Adam, explained that KACCIMA conducted a comprehensive review before setting participation fees, ensuring they remain affordable and competitive when compared with other major trade fairs across the country.
He highlighted new features for this year’s edition, including constant electricity supply, modern sanitary facilities, improved security arrangements, and adequate, segregated stalls for both local and international exhibitors. The fair will also feature seminas and symposium and special days as well as interactive sessions on global best practices in trade, entrepreneurship, and business development.
In his remarks, the First Deputy President of KACCIMA, Alhaji Sabit Muhammad, announced a new media engagement strategy to ensure professionalism and orderliness during the event. He noted that only accredited media outlets will interact with guests to prevent unauthorized interviews and irregular advert collections. A dedicated media committee, in collaboration with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has been established to ensure a well-coordinated and sanitized fair.
“We have put in place all necessary arrangements to ensure that this year’s trade fair stands out in terms of organization, participation, and impact. It will serve as a strategic platform for businesses to connect, network, and grow,” he stated.
KACCIMA disclosed that over 700 local and international companies are expected to participate in the 2025 fair — a reflection of growing investor confidence and renewed commercial interest in Kano State.
The 46th Kano International Trade Fair is scheduled to hold from November to December , 2025, at the Kano Trade Fair Complex. The event is expected to attract thousands of visitors, investors, and business stakeholders from across Nigeria and beyond.
KACCIMA called on private sector organizations, entrepreneurs, and the general public to seize the opportunity to promote trade, investment, and innovation in the state.
