Tin Can Customs Controller Congratulates CGC Adeniyi on PhD Achievement

The Customs Area Controller of Tin Can Island Port Command, Comptroller Frank Onyeka, has congratulated the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, on the successful completion of his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Strategic Leadership from the Federal University of Lokoja.

In a statement issued in Lagos, Comptroller Onyeka described the academic feat as a well-deserved recognition of the CGC’s exceptional leadership qualities and commitment to national service.

He noted that since assuming office, Dr. Adeniyi has achieved remarkable milestones in innovation, technology-driven reforms, manpower development, and corporate social responsibility, all of which have significantly transformed the operations of the Nigeria Customs Service.

According to him, the Comptroller-General’s leadership has not only boosted revenue generation but has also strengthened collaboration among stakeholders and reinforced professionalism across Customs formations nationwide.

“Your proven track record in customs administration, staff welfare, trade facilitation, and the suppression of smuggling has earned you this prestigious academic honour.” The statement read in part.

Comptroller Onyeka added that the attainment of a doctorate degree by the Service’s helmsman reflects his lifelong dedication to learning, reform, and effective leadership.

He prayed for continued wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for the CGC as he continues to steer the Service towards greater achievements.

“Once more, congratulations to our amiable Comptroller-General. We look forward to more innovations and continued progress under your purposeful leadership.” Comptroller Onyeka added.
