Kano State Government under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf says its always ready to improve capacity of the state civil servants to compete with new modern system of public service delivery globally.
The State Commissioner of Finance and Economic Development, Alhaji Ibrahim Jibrin Fagge disclosed this when he declared opened a 2-day seminar for all Head of Accounts and Internal Auditors across the MDAs of the state.
Alhaji Ibrahim Fagge stated that the workshop themed “Accountancy Profession and Emerging Technologies: Navigating Challenges and Embracing Opportunities”,was organised to improved the capacity of the state personnel .
In a statement signed by Bashir Habib Yahya, Director Public Enlightenment,
Ministry of finance and Economic Development, the commissioner maintained that the workshop theme enclosed the essence of the collective journey as the role of accountants is pivotal in steering the state through the complexities of emerging technologies.
Alhaji Fagge also extend gratitude and appreciation to state executive Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf for making the seminar possible by giving all necessary support and encouragement.
In his good will message to the participants, the state Accountant General, Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsalam expressed his happiness being part of present administration of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf that impacted positively the lives of many good people of Kano State .
The State Accountant General who was ably represented at the occasion by the Director Special Assignment in the ministry , Alhaji Kabiru A. Garko added that the turn out of participants is really commendable .
He tasked the participants to concentrate fully with dedication to study abreast of changes in accountancy profession during meaningful training.
Earlier, in his welcomed address, the Director, Inspection and Training, Malam Sunusi Maigida Umar ,urged the participants to reciprocate the gesture to the government by putting what they learned into practice.
