The lawmaker representing Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Kabiru Amadu, has been honoured by the Zamfara All Stars Football Club (Veterans) in recognition of his contributions to the development of sports in the country.
The honour, conferred on him during a courtesy visit by the team, described Hon. Amadu—popularly known as Mai Palace—as the “Pillar of Nigerian Sports”, citing his ongoing efforts in promoting grassroots sports and his passionate commitment as the Chairman of the House Committee on Sports.

Speaking during the visit, the veterans chairman, Mr. Abdul—Kareem, presented a trophy they recently won at the Northwest Veterans Football Tournament held in Kano State, where Zamfara emerged third place.
The delegation commended Hon. Amadu for his consistent support to sporting initiatives across the country and urged him not to relent in using his office to advance youth and community engagement through sports.
In his remarks, Hon. Amadu appreciated the team for the recognition, assuring them of his continued commitment to the growth of sports in Zamfara and beyond.
He said, “Sports remain one of the strongest tools for youth development, peacebuilding, and social cohesion across the country. I will continue to support initiatives that promote these values.”
The Zamfara All Stars comprise retired footballers and veterans who continue to advocate for the development of sports through mentorship and community engagement.
